*The Measure of Moderation*
Zhuangzi once said: “One should abide within the measure of moderation and dwell in the boundless rhythm of the unseen.”
Moderation is the art of doing things with a fitting sense of proportion—neither too much nor too little. It is knowing when to advance and when to retreat, how to give without losing oneself.
Fortune hides within misfortune, and misfortune within fortune. Life’s true beauty lies in balance. Work hard, but not at the cost of health. Love deeply, but never at the expense of self-respect.
When a cup is full, it overflows. When the moon reaches its peak, it begins to wane. Excess leads to loss.
True wisdom is not about pushing to extremes, but about knowing where to stop. With a steady heart and a measured step, we can face life’s uncertainties with grace.
Moderation is not weakness—it is quiet strength, and a gentle harmony with the world.
