**The Wisdom of Rising Again**
Xie An, a celebrated scholar of Eastern Jin, once lived in seclusion on Dongshan Mountain, spending his days in poetry and conversation with his friend Wang Xizhi. He was widely admired but refused official posts for decades. Only when his country faced invasion did he step forward to lead.
In 383 AD, when the enemy army of 870,000 marched south, panic gripped the capital. Yet Xie An remained calm, and his steady leadership saved the nation.
True wisdom lies not in constant striving, but in knowing when to withdraw and when to act. Xie An's power came from self-awareness—he was never swayed by noise, nor shaken by crisis.
We all have our own Dongshan—a place of clarity and purpose. When life becomes overwhelming, we can retreat there to regain perspective. Rising again is not about repeating the past, but about moving forward with deeper understanding.
Still waters run deep. The calm mind prevails.
