The Wisdom of Letting Go
When Guan Yu learned where his sworn brother Liu Bei was, he left Cao Cao without hesitation. He sealed all the gold and silver he had received, hung his official seal in the hall, and set out with his brother’s wives to find Liu Bei.
He chose loyalty over wealth. He chose integrity over rank.
We often cling to power, money, or status, thinking they define our worth. But true richness is not in holding on, but in knowing what to let go. Guan Yu gave up temporary gains for eternal honor.
In life, we must ask ourselves: what truly matters? Is it the praise of others, or the peace of our own heart?
Letting go is not losing. It is choosing what is deeper.
