Life is like a boat sailing through waves; it is the storms that reveal the captain's strength. Mencius said, "When heaven is about to place a great responsibility on a person, it first torments his mind and exhausts his body." Adversity is not an enemy but a whetstone for growth. Every fall is a gift in disguise.
In poverty, keep your integrity; in prosperity, benefit the world. A true person is not swayed by wealth, nor weakened by hardship, nor bent by force. True strength lies within.
We often err by wanting to teach others. When things go wrong, look inward first. Only through self-reflection can we cultivate virtue. Those who abandon themselves are beyond help; those who do everything cannot achieve greatness.
The rise and fall of the world concerns everyone. If each person takes responsibility, the world will naturally become better. Remember: fortune and misfortune come from within. Respect yourself, and others will respect you. May we all nurture a noble spirit and walk a path of light.
